Lake Success, N.Y., March 27, 2009 – In Tokyo today, Joe Adachi, president and chief executive officer, Canon U.S.A., Inc., was promoted to senior managing director and Seymour Liebman, executive vice president, chief administrative officer & general counsel, Canon U.S.A., was appointed an executive officer of Canon Inc. by the Company's shareholders and Board of Directors. Both executives will continue their leadership posts at Canon U.S.A., in addition to their expanded roles with Canon Inc.
